Description
Bernie Madoff was the supervillain of a $50 billion Ponzi scheme that shook Wall Street and its many duped investors to the core. In 2009 all was laid bare when Madoff pleaded guilty to a scam that ruined lives, small and big businesses and industry. But for 10 years one man was already aware of the scam and its dire implications but despite raising the alarm many influential financiers refused to heed his warnings. His name is Harry Markopolos. This financial thriller looks at the events and investigation that shaped this spectacular network of corruption which eventually exposed Madoff and brought him to trial.
