Top 5 Michael Cera moments
22/07/2010
Despite only being 22 and having had only a few short years in the limelight, Michael Cera has cemented his place as a bankable comedic actor. From Arrested Development to Juno and the upcoming Scott Pilgrim vs The World, he has made the goofy, likeable character his trademark.
With his latest flick Youth In Revolt arriving in-stores on Thursday July 22 on DVD and Blu-Ray, we thought we'd take a look at five of his best moments including film scenes, TV guest appearances and being part of an on-set blooper... without breaching copyright!
1) Final shot in Juno
Needs little introduction. Just lovely, innit?
2) Appearance on David Letterman
Michael shares some of his earlier work with Dave.
3) Clark and Michael
Gaining only a cult status, Michael and his friend Clark had a mockumentary web series detailing their hopes of becoming TV writers.
4) Juno promotional spot with Jason Bateman
Jason asks Michael how he should explain the birds and the bees to his daughter. Bateman at his improv best!
5) Michael gets fired from Knocked Up
During the making of I Heart Huckabees, a fight between director David O. Russell and Lily Tomlin was leaked onto the internet. It's crazy. So while the filming of Knocked Up was taking place, director Judd Apatow thought it would be funny to do his own on-set fight. And seeing as Michael Cera was hanging around the set that day, he stepped into Seth Rogen's place. This takes place in the scene where Katherine Heigl reveals she is pregnant in the restaurant. An in-joke but a very funny one.
