I watched this in cinema and again on DVD. Great performances from both Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. Wonderful cinematography makes this film a great watch. tricky
A confronting story which is sometimes difficult to watch. However, once you get past the initial discomfort of voyerism on their rough relationship, it is compelling viewing of two men torn between their 'normal' lives and an intense passion. A stellar performance by all involved, especially as there is very little dialogue in the script. sbellows
This movie was a touching, heartfelt version of the generic romance. Although it looks controversial, it was a beautiful story about love overcoming all odds. It provides an insight into the prejudice gay men had to face in the 1960s onward. It was definantly not just another gay cowboy story. I recomend this to anyone who is a romantic and not afraid of men on men relations. ***** arthouse1
